Facebook-owned WA is going to make major changes in its interface to make conversations and the chat experience more interactive and interesting.
Recently, a screenshot was leaked which showed that WA is working on a new chat variant and also how the latest change will stabilize the app further.

WhatsApp Update
The WhatsApp message reactions feature is being used to make conversations in a chat room more interactive as there are times when it can too exhausting replying to everyone with a text. This resembles the Instagram feature of reacting via emojis. The company is also working on its design as well. This new version is available to Android beta users.
As per WABetaInfo, reacting to a particular message will create a chat bubble in a small dialogue box which will help everyone see who has reacted to the message.
The new design might deliver more rounded chat bubbles and a new variant of the color green. The WhatsApp beta which consists of these changes is the Android 2.21.13.2 version.
Not only this but WA has also been working on various other features like archive feature for desktop users and WhatsApp use on multi-device support. In the new archival feature, the chat will not get automatically unarchived if received a text from that particular person.
