It is also known as Zygomycotic/Black Fungus. It is a type of fungal infection caused by a specific group of fungus known as MUCORMYCETES. This variety of fungus is present in decaying materials like leaves, compost manure, dunk and rotten wood. It is a component of the normal flora of the human body’s systems like respiratory, circulatory and other systems.

As the immunity is collapsed the infection being opportunistic, starts to invade the body. Thus provoking the disease and severing the symptoms. In severe cases, the patient may lose his/her eye leading to blindness.
