Plan for the side effect

You have to prepare yourself mentally for some commonly seen side effect after taking the covid-19 vaccine. The commonly seen side effect is headache, muscle pain, fever, nausea, fatigue and soreness at the injection side etc. If it lasts for more time then visit a doctor.

Wear a mask or face cover and keep sanitized

While going to take the covid-19 vaccine, you have to wear your mask all the time, because if you didn’t wear your mask then there are many chances of getting covid positive. So always wear your mask and keep sanitize your hand when you touch something.

Schedule your second slot if needed

There was some time schedule given for taking the second slot, so book you’re your second slot on the given time schedule.

Wait for 20-25 min after getting vaccine

Most of the vaccine provider will hang you around you just for 20-25 min after getting vaccinated just to watch for any side effect. Even if you feel fine wait for some time then go.

Accept whichever vaccine is available

There is more than one type of vaccine are available in India. So avoid choosing the vaccine. All the vaccine are effective. Take the vaccine which one is available.

Visit you doctor before vaccination about your

Health condition and medication.

If you have any existing major health issues then first visit your doctor before taking the vaccine. Ask your doctor that it is safe for you to get the vaccine. If your doctor allows you to take the vaccine then you can book your slot.

Wear a short sleeve shirt to make it easier

While you are going to take the vaccine then wear a short sleeve shirt because the vaccine shot goes in your shoulder, so wearing short sleeve shirt makes it easier and comfortable for you.

Have a good meal and stay hydrated

On the day when you going to get the vaccine, you must have a good meal before going to the vaccination centre and always keep yourself hydrated, carry a water bottle with you so it became easier to keep you hydrated.

DON’TS

Don’t post a selfie with your vaccination card

We know that you are proud of your covid-19 vaccine, but showing off your vaccination card is dangerous for you or it can become an invitation for scammers. Because the vaccine card has some personal information on it such as your full name, date of birth, location. So don’t post all this. 

Don’t throw away your vaccine card

Don’t throw your vaccination card, because when you are going to get the second sold you need this card. You will have to show your provider the timestamp on your vaccine card, so keep this safely.

Don’t miss your appointment

Don’t miss your appointment because if you miss it this could result in wastage of the vaccine dose. Because this must be used on the same day or thrown away.

Don’t throw your mask and stop social distancing afterword

After getting vaccinated don’t throw your mask and avoid social distancing, because are not considered as fully vaccinated against6 covid-19 until 14 days after your final dose.

Don’t hesitate to report side effect

If you are facing any symptom after getting a vaccine then don’t hesitate to report the side effect. No matter how minor they are, because it also helps with future vaccine development.
