Netflix has debuted the first full-length trailer for Ozark‘s fourth and final season. The Jason Batman and Laura Linney-led epic will finally reach its tumultuous conclusion this year, with the official Ozark season four release date scheduled to land on January 21 for part one, while part two will arrive later in 2022. Judging by the new full-length trailer, we’re in for a show.
Ozark season four
Picking up right where season three’s bloody finale left off, Ozark season four sees Marty and Wendy Byrde even more ingrained in the Navarro drug cartel than they ever thought, but optimism is shining through. With their freedom in sight, the Byrdes slowly gain confidence, however, an old enemy appears to be sharpening his sword.
“You will use your influence, I will walk away from my business, I will be free of the threat of arrest or assassination. Do this and you are free of your obligation to me,” Navarro says in the new trailer.
The new 14 episode series will mark a triumphant conclusion to what has already been a runaway hit for Netflix. Since debuting in 2017, Ozark has amassed a whopping 32 Emmy nominations, with Bateman notching up honors for his behind the camera and release viewership records smashed.
However, season four wasn’t quite as straightforward as previous runs. Production for the final installment was delayed due to the pandemic, adding a further wait time to the often lengthy delays between sessions. Thankfully, season four does appear to be worth the wait, with the entire cast returning to the fold. The new 14-episode run will see Bateman and Linney reprise their roles as the beleaguered Byrdes, with the usual suspects Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Charlie Tahan, Janet McTeer, and Felix Solis returning to finish the series.
