When is the Met Gala happening
The Met Gala 2021 is scheduled to take place on September 13th this year. For the first time, the Metropolitan Museum of Art will be live-streamed by Vogue, allowing fans all around the world to see the year’s largest fashion event. The Met Gala is usually held on the first Monday in May, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was moved to September. For the first time, the exhibition will be divided into two halves, resulting in two Met Galas in the span of a year.
Hosts
Singer Billie Eilish, tennis star Naomi Osaka, actor Timothée Chalamet, fashion designer Tom Ford, poet Amanda Gorman, and journalist Anna Wintour will headline the event in 2021.
How to watch
Beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET, a live webcast presented by Vogue will allow ‘unprecedented access to the gala. The live stream, hosted by actor and recording artist Keke Palmer and actor, writer, and director Ilana Glazer, will go live around 3:00 a.m. on September 14, 2021, on Vogue’s Twitter account for Indian fans. During the red carpet entry, the duo will interview VIP visitors.
