Marvel’s Present

For 2021, Marvel took a streaming approach to the releases. With blockbusters like Black Widow premiering on the Disney+ platform, the distribution for major cinematic events is decidedly different than in previous years. Not that it seems to have slowed down success.

Upcoming marvel movies release schedule

In September, Marvel release Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, a lesser-known title that has roots in the Avengers franchise. The film was an immediate success, landing a USD$95.6 million record-breaking Labor Day holiday box office showing and signifying a return to normality for the blockbuster business. Here’s what was released so far in 2021.

1: Marvel’s Eternals

The film that brings Angelina Jolie into Marvel folklore is set to land in cinemas on October 28 this year. The movie introduces The Eternals, a race of immortal beings with superhuman powers who have secretly lived on Earth for thousands of years. Speaking on Variety’s Award Circuit Podcast, Doctor Strange actor Benedict Cumberbatch said the film was a major achievement. “No seriously, (No Way Home) has got great ambition. I haven’t seen it, but by all accounts, I think it’s achieved it… I’m pretty certain it’ll be a hit.”
