Best on Netflix in November 2021!

Let’s begin Best on Netflix in November 2021. The annual onslaught of over-the-top Hallmark-Esque Christmas films that smoosh two oddball characters together in one overdone trope for our holiday entertainment is once again returning. Yes, thanks to our streaming overlords at Netflix HQ, Christmas is coming early this year and we have another two months of Santa-related content to wade through before it ends. But there is good news.

To go along with the near-endless supply of green and red sweaters, this month’s Best on Netflix in November 2021 brings a different form of holiday cheer – One littered with murder, mayhem, and a double dose of Joe Exotic. Butter up film fans, the mixed bag of content set to square our eyes in November has finally been unveiled. Here’s what you need to watch out for.

Best Series on Netflix in November 2021

1: Cowboy Bebop

Look away anime fans, Netflix has done the unthinkable – a live-action remake of one of the most popular animations of all time that actually looks…good. An action-packed space Western about three bounty hunters, Cowboy Bebop sees John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, and Daniella Pineda form a scrappy, snarky crew ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals — for the right price. Sacrilege done right.

2: Selling Sunset: Season 4

The real estate show that has almost nothing to do with real estate is finally out of its dormant state, and nothing has changed. The houses are still beautiful, the women stunning and the tension, palpable. The trials and tribulations of LA’s elite back-stabbing agents hungry for that big commission are laid out in full, botoxed fashion. Delightful.

3: True Story

Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes star as brothers in this semi-factual limited series from the team behind Narcos. Hart plays ultra-successful comedian The Kid, a character seemingly inspired by himself. While everything is coming up Millhouse for him, Kid’s life gets turned upside down when his older brother shows up, threatening to destroy his career. Heavy drama littered with laughs? We’re not really sure what to expect from True Story, but you can bet we’ll be watching, if not just for a patented Wesley Snipes roundhouse kick.

4: Big Mouth: Season 5

The most disgustingly watchable animation on Netflix, Big Mouth is hard to ignore. For season 5, the kids are getting older, their problems bigger, and the embarrassment, more severe. Romantic confessions, angry tirades, and vicious rumors fly as lovebugs and hate worms wriggle their way into the hearts of the Bridgeton Middle crew. Gross.

5: Narcos: Mexico: Season 3

F*ck yeah, this looks needlessly intense. The third installment of Narcos: Mexico takes us deep into the heart of cartel country as a new generation of leaders vies for power. All the while, journalists hunt for truth and government agents walk a thin line between justice and corruption.

Best Movies on Netflix in November 2021

1: The Harder They Fall

Jay-Z’s foray into the world of westerns finally hits Netflix in November and it looks insane. The Idris Elba and Regina King-led action blockbuster charts an epic face-off between two fearless groups of cowboys and cowgirls. Jonathan Majors plays outlaw Nat Love, who discovers that his enemy Rufus Buck, played by Idris Elba is being released from prison. Cue revenge plots, shoot-outs and a surprisingly fitting Kid Cudi cut.

2: Red Notice

This is it, this is the big one. Perhaps Netflix’s most expensive production, Red Notice pulls three of Hollywood’s biggest names together for a heist movie of gargantuan proportions. Naturally, The Rock suits up as the FBI’s top agent who is forced to team up with the world’s greatest thief, played by Ryan Reynolds, to track down the ever-elusive criminal, Gal Gadot. Worth it for the banter.

3: tick, tick…BOOM!

Netflix has been plugging tick, tick…BOOM! for a while now and to be honest, we hadn’t paid it much attention, but we may have been wrong. The new film sees Andrew Garfield as a promising theatre composer on the brink of turning 30, navigating love, friendship, and the pressure to create something great before time runs out. A little jazzy for our tastes, but then again, Lin-Manuel Miranda is behind the camera, so it’s not a huge surprise.

Release Date: 19 November 2021

4: Bruised

Every dad’s favorite actress, Halle Berry makes her directorial debut in an oddly brutal film about an aging MMA fighter. Pulling double duty, Berry plays Jackie Justice, a down on her luck journeywoman who accepts an offer to fight the top female MMA fighter in an unsanctioned bout. All the while, she is dealing with the unexpected return of her 6-year-old son, whom she gave up for adoption as an infant. There’s a lot happening but the key takeaway is that at 55-years-old, Halle Berry is a f*cking badass.

Best Documentaries on Netflix in November 2021

1: Tiger King 2

Apparently, there’s more to the Joe Exotic saga than we first thought. In the second installment of the runaway documentary series hit, we return to the seedy underbelly of tiger handlers. Old enemies and frenemies, including Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson return, while Joe Exotic looks more old and tired than ever before.

Release Date: 17 November 2021

2: A Cop Movie

This one looks great. A documentary that walks the line between fact and fiction, A Cop Movie delved into corruption in the Mexican police through the experiences of two officers.

Release Date: 5 November 2021

3: 14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible

Climber Nims Puja is pretty much the toughest dude on the planet. This documentary charts the legendary journeyman as he leads a team of Sherpas across all 14 of the peaks over 8,000 meters in seven months, shattering the record of seven years.
